The Taranta Night with TarantaTour2019 is in concert Buenos Aires in Argentina on September 29th, September 30th and October 5th 2019 on the occasion of the ENIT (National Agency for Tourism Italy) that promote in a unified way the Italian tourist offer in the world. This year the festival is dedicated to the Puglia Region, the Popular Orchestra of La Notte della Taranta after the Italian, European tour and the success of # Taranta22 lands Buenos Aires in Argentina to celebrate the typical Salentine dance worldwide. A beautiful show of music and folk dance will be staged. This exhibition will officially open the preparation workshop of the Itinerant Festival 2020 which will lead to the next TarantaTour2020, Itinerant Festival in the Grecìa Salentina and Concertone di Melpignano 2020 with #Taranta23.
For #Taranta23 the La Notte della Taranta Foundation, the institutional organizations involved, including the Puglia Region, are working on a major cultural exchange project with South America, Chile, Argentina and in particular Brazil.
The president of the La Notte della Taranta Foundation, Massimo Manera, after the Concertone di Melpignano which closed the Festival 2019, clearly outlined the projects for the next year 2020. On September 14, TarantaTour was staged in Matera with a concert dedicated to the Capital of Culture, on 28 September in Naples in Piazza Plebiscito and on 29 September, 30 September and 5 October 2019 precisely in Argentina.
These journeys, these paths allow a comparison with other musical realities that will outline the laboratories and the contaminations that will outline the next edition #Taranta23.
The last edition of La Notte della Taranta 2019 has brought "record of emotions and stories, but also of numbers", such as the over 450 thousand overall presences between the Itinerant Festival in the Municipalities of Grecià Salentina, the stages outside the festival in Salento, Puglia, Southern Italy, Italy and of which 200 thousand in the final evening in the square in Melpignano. The final night of La Notte della Taranta recorded a 6.5% share for RaiDueTv's live broadcast, almost 2 million users for direct social media, thousands of interactions on instagram, from Facebook and the blog spaces that follow the kermesse of most popular folk music in the world. This was possible also thanks to the music-artistic program, the organization and the numbers of the traveling Festival from 3 to 22 August 2019 in Salento: with 19 stages, 50 live concerts, 400 artists involved.
